Hello. I wonder if anyone in the forum has confronted that issue.
I have a MySQL table that constist of names. The names are stored in Hebrew, as UTF-8.
I need to make a query on that table, by a free-text of the name.
i pass the name to the "Advanced Find" or to a "Database Query" through a parameter.
If the name is written in english, i get the correct results.
If the name is written in hebrew, nothing is returned.
weather i pass the parameter from a display input field, Chooser, or directly from a text constant, it does not matter.
if the name is hebrew, i get an empty resultset.
i verified the names stored to be UTF-8, and the table collation and the field collation to be UTF-8.
my guess is that the data that comes from the Tersus, through Eclipse (text constant rename), or through Internet Explorer (Text Input field or Chooser), is not UTF-8, but something else.
Did anyone come across this issue?
Thank you,
Ze'ev Russak
