I'm using Tersus Studio & Server on OSX (10.5.5) and so far thanks to the excellent instructions on the Tersus web site, everything seems to be going fine. I've installed Java, Tersus Studio, Tersus Server, Eclipse, Tomcat etc. Everything seems to be working fine - Tersus Studio works inside Eclips, Tomcat is running & I can connect to Manager fine etc etc. But. I must be missing something when it comes to getting a Tersus Studio application deployed.
The gaps in my knowledge (which is almost certainly where the problem lies) are thus: using the Configurator application to generate Application Context File (XML) I'm prompted for two core values: "Tersus Runtime Root" and "Application Deployment Root". In reading the tutorials I don't recall coming across the term "Tersus Runtime Root". Does this relate to Studio or Server? And in either case... what values should I enter? :-)
The final, related, part of my problem is where to unpack my application archive [exported from Studio] & the accompanying Application Context File (generated by Configurator). The instructions say "Create a new directory on your deployment server. The recommeded location is: /tersus-applications/[Application Project name]/" but in the case of standard Tomcat install should "/tersus-applications/[Application Project name]/" reside inside Tomcat's "webapps" directory or inside the parent "tomcat" directory? The supplied apps with Tomcat live inside the "webapps" directory but I've tried there and get a "not found" from Tomcat when trying to browse to "http://localhost:8080/myapplication" - which is odd because Tomcat Manager does show the application as running, albeit without anything (Tersus) for the display name.
So in a nutshell; can someone provide example values for what "Tersus Runtime Root" and "Application Deployment Root" inside the Configurator application and finally where I should put the Application Context file and my application with regard to Tomcat.
Sorry for the long post!
