Have a look at the application log file, after starting the application (click on the Show the application log file toolbar button which is accessible when a model editor is in focus) - perhaps you'll find something there (you're welcome to attach the file to a reply). You can also check the studio log file (Help -> About -> Configuration Details -> View Error Log).
You can also export the application (including edited Configuration.xml) and attach it to a post, and we'll have a look.
