I want to insert db records into a db table with an autogenerated id column (on postgres).
I read the instructions on Default Values here but the problem with the defaultValue property is the binding on the datatype of the model element.
For Example: a db record with an id field (model datatype Number) -> the defaultValue property of id can only be of type Number.
So it is not possible to pass a dbms keyword (not a String) like DEFAULT or something like "nextval('tablename_id_seq'::regclass)" (for postgres) to the db server.
How about a (second) defaultValue property which will be passed to the db server without checking or casting? Or a special tersus keyword like <dbDefault>?
PS: The other solution proposed here maybe a workaround but it is not my favorite.
