Tersus uses jdbc prepared statements method, which limits usage of parameters to value replacement. Schema elements cannot be replaced.
You will need to create the sql statement part which include the table name in the model before sending it to one of the query plug-ins.
BTW, your questions lead me to guess that you might find the Common/Templates/Modules/Database Viewer/Database Viewer model interesting.
