The project you attached is based on the default Blank View application template rather then the Legacy Navigation template which is used in most samples (the template is specified when creating a new project using the New Tersus Project dialog).
The Blank View template includes no predefined design, therefore it appears completely blank by default. Add display elements to the View display model to populate it.

Note that the html source of all Tersus applications (as viewed via the browser's View Page Source function) is fundamentally the same. It's main purpose is to load the generic Tersus javascript-based client.
