I am trying to install the tersus server, but I have a problem with the step
of tomcat documentation.
"See the Tomcat documentation for details on installing, running, and configuring Tomcat to start on boot.Make a note of the directory into which you installed Tomcat, we shall refer to it later as [Tomcat root]."
I checked the documentation link and they mention that for unix (I have linux) " Before running the script, the JAVA_HOME environment variable should be set to the base path of the JDK."
JAVA_HOME
My questions are:
1. In which file I have to change JAVA_HOME? JAVA_HOME appears in many files.
2.I have installed jdk but there are many directories. In which exactly I should put. Here are the relevant ones:
/usr/portage/virtual/jdkAND
/usr/portage/dev-java/sun-jdk
