If you're referring to the server embedded in the studio, starting it is explained both in the Start in 30 Seconds document (step 2), and in the tutorial (Stage 2, Add a Button (New Requisition) section)
If you're referring to the standalone server, than that is started through tomcat as explained in the Instructions.
