The authorization module should work in mobile web applications, though you would probably want to change the UI to fit the smaller dimensions of the screen. This is actually true of most functionality in Tersus which is the same, as far as process logic goes for most target platforms, the main differences arising from the target's UI differences.
Native applications on mobile devices have some extra features (such as access to all device capabilities - see this page for a comparison of web and native mobile applications), but since they are not client-server by nature, and there is no coupled server, they do have some limitations, mainly that server-side processing is not available transparently (i.e. modeled in a Service or other server-side plugin). This means the authorization module cannot be used as is, and you will need to implement your own user access control processes.
Details on security and access control relevant in mobile scenarios can be found in this page.
