Thanks for replying so quickly. I've tried the Excel method as described in the tutorial, however I get an "invalid excel file" error. I also tried calling the file through the Read Binary File function with the file being pointed to in the /models directory and go the same result. The file is standard Excel 97-03 XLS.
Also I've tried to initialize the database via the attached image:
I pass Numeric and Text constants to the Database then have the DB update (I previously also tried Insert). Then I have it refresh the table.
Obviously once I get this working I can set up a repetative process for all the entries I want to have loaded at the start.
The application, ultimately, is a player aid for a wargame. There are default values for ships/technology that I am trying to initialize here. Through the course of the game, the "AI" buys various technologies and ships based on random die rolls.
My programming background is limited and I'm somewhat new to Tersus.
