The differences between Native & Web applications are covered in many pages listed @ http://www.tersus.com/#Tag=Native%20vs.%20Web (I recommend starting with http://www.tersus.com/#Id=3283 & http://www.tersus.com/#Id=5769).
Server-side processing is available in both, and is essentially seamless and identical - all that's needed in order for Native applications to access the services is a one time configuration step which can be performed just before exporting the app - see Strategy 1 in http://www.tersus.com/#Id=2820 (the same applies to Android).
Native will give you camera access, but on the other hand will require a lot of modelling to emulate user-role-permissions based access in your client (as I noted in http://www.tersus.com/#Id=6643).

David
