Hello,David
I am a beginner in many areas.
When I installed MySQL 5.6, my app did not work, it seems the datetime value from "Now" insert into database error.
And it works in the 5.5 verson and PostgreSQL.
It took a long time to find the reason, after I updated the mysql-connector to 5.1.24 it finally works.
In fact I have been in doubt whether the latest version outside "http://www.tersus.com/#Id=1385" said could run, just have not test stability ?
About the PostgreSQL JDBC 3 Driver, I tried both 9.2-1002 and 8.1-415 version could work on either PostgreSQL server 8.4.17 or 9.2.4 version.
Did "Later versions of the driver are not supported, and will cause an application crash." contains 9.x version ?
Or is it not recommended to be used in a production environment either 9.x server or 9.x JDBC ?
Because my knowledge relatively small, it difficult to decide which database is better for me..(This problem seems a little strays away from the theme of this forum :)
Could you help me determine an open source database please ?
There is may often a little complex query and statistical summary reports in my app.
The fields length of one table had exceeded the upper limit of the mysql default, I have split it into two tables.
Are these PostgreSQL and MySQL the same well as for the support of the non-Latin lanuages , and the support of Tersus ?
Thank you for reading my primary problems, thanks a lot~!
