Hi Stefen,
Thanks for the note. Been a while since we talked :)Really appreciate your sharing.
Actually i do have plans to upgrade my mysql server from 5.1 to 5.6 as i understand there is considerable improvement in the area of database replication. Based on your experience, guess if i do move to mysql server 5.6, i really would need to use JDBC mysql-connector 5.1
Currently, everything works fine with MySQL Connector/J version (3.1.8a) and mysql server 5.1
However my only concern is once i switch to mysql server 5.6, if there is any issue with Tersus and JDBC mysql-connector 5.1, i cant really use MySQL Connector/J version (3.1.8a) with mysql server 5.6 as i think there could be some problem like the one you encountered.
Guess the only option i have, if i want to go for mysql server 5.6 is to test through my Tersus application with JDBC mysql-connector 5.1 on mysql server 5.6 before using it in Production environment.CheersCliff
