Hi Kin,
JAI is a rather outdated library, and indeed has no 64bit installation. The JAI library is only required by our Miscellaneous/Convert Image plugin, so if your applications do not use this plugin, there is actually no need to install it at all. Both studio and server will function perfectly well without it being installed.Note that even if you are using the plugin in your application, certain conversions (such as JPG to PDF), should work just fine using the existing 32bit installation within a 64bit Tersus setup, so you can actually go ahead and install the 32bit JAI as part of a 64 bit Tersus installation.
With regards to your second issue, rest assured that JRE7 is supported.
Regards,
David
