An update on how testing went. Tomcat 6.0.29 was unable to start using jre-8u221. Upgraded to Tomcat 7.0.40.
Very preliminary testing on virtual machine shows Tersus applications working well on Tersus Enterprise Server 2.2.7 with Tomcat 7.0.40 and jre-8u221
